Mr. Raol has been keenly involved in conservation activities for may endangered bird and animal species found locally in the area. He has personally helped in the rehabilitation of quite a few wild animals found area around Bhavnagar.

Hyena Rescue: Striped Hyenas have lately been frequenting the areas in and around Victoria Park in Bhavnagar, and are not a very uncommon sight in the surrounding wilderness and farmland. This particular Hyena, had got tangled up in a crude trap set up by some local poacher for smaller game. Fortunately, it was discovered by my brother and myself due to its close vicinity to our farm where we happened to be working.

We immediately contacted the local forest authorities, who, after much struggle, managed to control the animal, and free it from its cruel bondage. Much to our joy, once freed, the Hyena gambolled off into the woods! Click on the picture to load a clip of this rescue movie.
